Sharon Kaye O’Connor, LCSW
is a psychotherapist in Manhattan, NYC, and provides consultation and coaching to clients worldwide. Sharon specializes in the areas of anxiety, autism, life transitions and spirituality.
She is a licensed clinical social worker in New York State, and holds an MSW from Hunter College School of Social Work/CUNY. Sharon is also an ordained Spiritualist minister, and her training in holistic modalities includes Reiki, energy healing, and breathwork. Her therapeutic practice frequently integrates traditional psychotherapy and spirituality.
Sharon is the author of the forthcoming book, Healing Autistic Burnout: A Neuroaffirming Guide for Connecting with Your Authentic Self, Restoring Your Energy, and Advocating for Your Needs (New Harbinger Publications). She is also a co-author of Academic and Student Affairs in Collaboration: Creating a Culture of Student Success (Routledge, 2016).
Sharon writes, teaches and consults extensively in the areas of autism and neurodiversity, and her expertise has been featured in Salon, Newsweek, Parade, and other publications. As an autistic clinician, her mission is to translate the autistic experience to further understanding and authentic support for the autistic community.
